About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester, teaching TSO 5500 A00, Fondements théoriques du travail social. The course involves a critical examination of the models, theories, and paradigms underlying social work practice. The course will be offered in person and is scheduled for Tuesdays from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The expected enrollment is 28 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025 rates, subject to change with a new collective agreement). The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the theoretical issues underlying social work practice.
  • Must be a Student Part-Time Professor.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral studies in Social Work or a related discipline.
  • University teaching experience at the graduate level.
  • Work experience in Social Work, preferably in Ontario.
  • Competence in a second language (passive).

Responsibilities

  • Teach Fondements théoriques du travail social (TSO 5500 A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Conduct a critical examination of the models, theories, and paradigms underlying social work practice.
  • Deliver the course in person.
  • Adhere to the course schedule: Tuesdays from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
  • Potentially complete mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
