About The Position

This is a new position for a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester in the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Social Work. The course, TSO 3520 A00, is titled "Identités trans et non binaires, sexualités marginalisées et travail social" (Trans and Non-Binary Identities, Marginalized Sexualities, and Social Work). The course will explore knowledge about gender identities (trans, non-binary, fluid, intersex) and marginalized sexualities (LGBBTIQA+) and their application in social work. It will analyze the historical, cultural, socio-economic, medical, legal, and political foundations of the construction and regulation of gender identities, sexual identities, and marginalized sexual practices. The goal is to develop tools to integrate this knowledge into practice at the individual, community, and political levels. The course is offered in person.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or doctorate in social work or a related discipline.
  • Experience in research and intervention on issues related to sexuality and sexual diversity.
  • Knowledge of the foundations of the construction and regulation of sexuality.
