About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach TSO 6715 A00: Décolonisation, sécurisation culturelle et travail social avec les peuples autochtones during the Fall 2026 semester. The course involves a critical analysis of social interventions, public policies, and legislative frameworks affecting Indigenous peoples. It includes reflections on decolonizing intervention strategies, developing reflexivity and cultural safety, and evaluating existing intervention practices to better adapt them to the needs of Indigenous Nations. The course is offered in person and in co-teaching.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctorate in social work or a related discipline.
  • Excellent knowledge of policies and intervention processes affecting Indigenous communities.
  • Excellent knowledge of the realities of Indigenous communities, decolonizing intervention strategies, cultural safety methods, and evaluation of intervention practices in an Indigenous context.

  • University teaching experience at the graduate level.
