About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach Nursing Professionalism and Ethics (NSG 3127) during the Fall 2026 academic period. The course involves an in-depth examination of ethical and legal practice situations and dilemmas in nursing, emphasizing values clarification, professional image, professional socialization, and interprofessional practice, aligning with the scope and standards of nursing practice.

Requirements

  • M.Sc.N.
  • University level teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the professional/ethical underpinnings for this course.
  • Current registration as RN or NP in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • An acceptable level of education/experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Nursing Professionalism and Ethics (NSG 3127).
  • Cover scope and standards of nursing practice.
  • Examine ethical and legal practice situations and dilemmas.
  • Emphasize values clarification, professional image, professional socialization, and interprofessional practice.
