About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor for the course Quantitative Methods in Psychology I (PSY2106, Section C00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course covers descriptive statistics (frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and variability, normal curve, correlation and regression) and an introduction to inferential statistics (hypothesis testing, T test and chi-square), with applications to psychology. The course is offered in person and requires maintaining the original assigned mode of course delivery. The professor must inform the School of Psychology Secretariat of any class cancellations and arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if an absence is known in advance. Employees are required to complete all mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area
  • Competence in a second language (Passive)

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
