About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach Research Workshop in Digital Transf. and Innovation (DTI7101, Section A) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course covers writing a Research Project proposal, essentials of graduate report writing, information management, literature search techniques, reference management, and research ethics including academic integrity and avoiding academic fraud. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The position is limited to students presently completing their PhD in a field related to the course subject matter or candidates who have worked professionally in the field after completing a relevant doctorate.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of the course subject matter, demonstrated by relevant research publications or extensive experience over at least two years, or having taught related graduate courses previously.
  • Presently completing their PhD in a field related to the course subject matter or having worked professionally in the field after completing a relevant doctorate.
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities

  • Writing a Research Project proposal including problem formulation and work plan.
  • Covering essentials of graduate report writing.
  • Teaching information management, literature search techniques and reference management.
  • Instructing on research ethics including academic integrity and avoiding academic fraud.
