About The Position

This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach ADM3379A: Systems Analysis, Development, and Performance during the Fall 2026 semester at the Telfer School of Management. The course focuses on systemic methodologies for analyzing business problems and technology solutions, articulating business requirements, logical system characteristics, formal methodologies for converting requirements to specifications, business process redesign, change management, and systems acquisition alternatives. The teaching mode will be in-person.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in an area directly related to information systems analysis and design.
  • Recent professional experience directly related to this course.
  • Must be a Student Part-Time Professor.
  • Competence in a second language (Passive).

Responsibilities

  • Teach Systems Analysis, Development, and Performance (ADM3379A) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Deliver the course in-person.
  • Address business problems or opportunities using systemic methodology and technology.
  • Articulate business requirements for technology solutions.
  • Cover high-level logical system characteristics including business process requirements and data design.
  • Utilize formal methodologies for converting business requirements into solution characteristics and technical specifications.
  • Discuss business process (re-)design and change management.
  • Analyze systems acquisition alternatives and feasibility based on cost/benefit, ethical, cultural, and legal considerations.
