About The Position

Introduction to management information systems, their underlying infrastructure and technology, and their impacts on organizations and individuals. Applications of information systems at the operational and decision making levels. Electronic business. Ethical and legal issues. Security and quality issues. Advanced topics including knowledge management and business intelligence.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (preferably PhD) with a specialization directly related to information systems, or applications of information technology (IT) for business.
  • Demonstrate recent and up-to-date professional experience in all areas of the course.
  • Sound knowledge pertaining to the strategic and operational use of IT in organizations.
  • Background and first-hand experience with organizational IT trends in enterprise systems, e-business, m-commerce, and business intelligence.
  • Knowledge of applications of IT in areas such as customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM).
  • Pertinent prior teaching experience, preferably in the area of information technology for business.
  • Ability to teach in English.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Management Information Systems (ADM2372D) during the 2026 Fall Semester.
  • Utilize the case method teaching approach extensively.
  • Deliver instruction in person.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
