About The Position

The Student Lifeguard maintains continuous surveillance of patrons at the facility and responds promptly and appropriately to emergencies to protect their safety. The lifeguard provides emergency care and treatment as needed until emergency medical services arrive, maintains a professional appearance and attitude, and delivers a high standard of customer service. The role also includes maintenance of pool equipment and the deck, event support, and other job-related duties as assigned. The position supports safe aquatics operations at the competition pool and dive well.

Requirements

• CPR for professional rescuers certification.
• Lifeguard training.
• First aid certification.
• Attach an ASIST schedule and current certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications through the American Red Cross.
• One year of lifeguarding experience.
• At least one reference.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of facility patrons.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and provide emergency care until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude and provide a high standard of customer service.
• Perform daily maintenance of pool equipment and the deck to help keep the facility clean and safe.
• Support events, including setting up and removing equipment and assisting customers.
• Ensure adherence to aquatics safety standards, including surveillance and assistance in emergency situations at the competition pool and dive well.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
