About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity to work as part of a cross-functional team to meet customer needs. The complexity and responsibility of work assignments will grow with the tenure of student employees. Interns will learn plant systems and operating procedures, including the elementary function of steam powerplant equipment such as boilers, turbo-generator units, rotating electrical equipment, heat exchange equipment, pumps, compressors, and fans. Responsibilities include performing routine operations, assisting in the operation of steam power plant equipment, recording operating data on log sheets and electronic logs, and gaining a basic understanding of power plant instrumentation knowledge. The role involves actively engaging in day-to-day activities and working a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• GPA 2.8 or above.
• Computer skills–- familiar with various databases, as well as Windows environment and Microsoft toolkit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must have good communication skills.
• Pursuing a degree focused on millwright, machinist, or Process Technology training at an accredited College or University.

Responsibilities
