Student Externship - Delta, Ohio
About The Position
Northwest Veterinary Hospital in Delta, Ohio, offers veterinary students a paid externship designed to provide real-world clinical experience in a supportive hospital environment. Students join a three-doctor team and learn alongside experienced veterinarians and technicians. The hospital provides large- and small-animal veterinary care and serves communities throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Its facility includes three exam rooms, an anesthesia machine, a dental machine, ultrasound, laser therapy, digital X-ray, and digital dental X-ray. Certain graded externships may not be eligible for payment, depending on the requirements of the student's veterinary school curriculum.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to wellness and preventive care.
- Gain exposure to surgery and anesthesia.
- Gain exposure to dentistry.
- Gain exposure to diagnostics and laboratory services.
- Gain exposure to urgent care and medical cases.
