Veterinary Student Externship
About The Position

Externs are being hired at small animal general practice locations in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Champlin, Minnesota; and St. Paul, Minnesota. The organization’s mission is to empower veterinary professionals by building veterinary hospitals that inspire, uplift, and fulfill. It is creating warm, welcoming, and functional veterinary hospitals in select areas of the United States. The organization centers its work environments on Culture, Community, and Collaboration. Externs are encouraged to contribute to a positive culture and community spirit in their local hometown veterinary hospital, with an emphasis on teamwork, communication, and the well-being of animals. The organization supports the local veterinary community and encourages contributions to the well-being of pets and people. Externs can receive individualized, long-term mentorship in areas such as surgery, current treatments, and the business side of medicine, tailored to help them develop as veterinary medicine providers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a positive culture and community spirit within the local veterinary hospital.
- Support teamwork, communication, and a shared commitment to animal well-being.
- Contribute to the well-being of pets and people in the local community.
- Participate in an individualized mentorship program, with guidance that may cover surgery, current treatments, or the business side of medicine.
