About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position available only to current UND students. The Student Community Builder welcomes and engages students visiting The Hilyard Center and facilitates programs and events that promote student success and community building. The role also supports the mission and vision of The Hilyard Center and the Office of Community & Belonging through other assigned duties. The position pays $15.00 per hour, is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime, and requires 5–15 hours per week. It does not offer remote or hybrid work availability. A criminal history background check is required. Employees must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States; visa sponsorship for continued employment is not available.

Requirements

• Be a current undergraduate student at the University of North Dakota.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Demonstrate commitment to fostering community and belonging.
• Have prior engagement with The Hilyard Center through participation in its programs, events, or services.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to build professional relationships and work collaboratively with students from a variety of backgrounds.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach, taking initiative and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
• Successfully complete a criminal history background check.
• Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
