About The Position

The Student Caller is responsible for calling and speaking with alumni, parents, and friends of the institution to raise funds for the National Alumni Association and The University of Alabama. The Crimson Calling Center is an integral part of the Membership and Marketing Department of the National Alumni Association. Callers who show dedication and leadership may have the opportunity to advance to student supervisor.

Requirements

• Current University of Alabama undergraduate student.
• Ability to work at least 2 night shifts per week.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new computer programs.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying situations.
• Must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment.
• Must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters.
• Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment.
• Final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sales or cold calling.
