About The Position

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program (CSJ). CSJ is an initiative to help young people between the ages of 15 - 30, particularly those facing barriers to employment, to get the information and gain the skills, work experience, and abilities they need to transition successfully in the labour market.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task under pressure, with a focus on detail and problem solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of office equipment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work within very high standards of client and organizational confidentiality and privacy.
  • Possess an ability to relate well with a wide range of people, and a maturity which indicates an ability to perform tasks and to provide exemplary customer service.
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in providing administrative support services to the Mental Health Services Division and Agency Administration.
  • Assists with the transfer of historical, confidential client files and reports to digital form.
  • Performs administrative duties related to the operations of the children’s mental health programs.
  • Handles other administrative duties and related tasks including reception, data entry, and special projects, as required.
  • Works in alignment with the agency’s commitment to equity, and from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive perspective to further create a sense of belonging at the Agency.
