About The Position

WSP is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join its Hydraulic Structures Group. The engineer will support multidisciplinary teams in planning, analyzing, designing, evaluating, and rehabilitating dams, spillways, outlet works, hydropower facilities, canals, flood-control structures, and related civil works. The role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in critical water infrastructure and public safety. The position includes structural analyses and design support for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry hydraulic structures, as well as assistance with project reports, feasibility studies, alternatives analyses, engineering evaluations, cost estimates, risk assessments, and design documentation. The engineer will also participate in field investigations and collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines while supporting compliance with applicable engineering standards and dam safety requirements. Professional growth opportunities include mentorship from senior engineers, training in advanced analysis methods, opportunities to support dam safety evaluations and major water infrastructure projects, and support for PE licensure and ongoing professional development. Occasional travel for field investigations, construction support, site inspections, and project meetings may be required. Field work may take place outdoors, in confined spaces, and near water bodies and heavy equipment, subject to safety requirements.
