About The Position
Salas O’Brien is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join its engineering team in New York City. This is a full-time, in-office role in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. The engineer will work with educational, health care, private-sector commercial, and public-sector clients, performing design, analysis, and project management duties in collaboration with the Engineering and Architectural departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Structural Engineering (BSSE).
- 0–3 years of experience.
- EIT certification or active plans to obtain it.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis software.
- Good written and verbal skills for teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Design structures using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Perform calculations for loads and structural elements.
- Prepare drawing plans and details using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Conduct site visits to perform surveys and check construction progress.
- Coordinate with architects and project managers.
