About The Position

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join its engineering team in New York City. This is a full-time, in-office role in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment serving educational, health care, private-sector commercial, and public-sector clients. The work includes structural design, analysis, and project management duties, with direct collaboration with the Engineering and Architectural departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Structural Engineering (BSSE).
• 0–3 years of experience.
• EIT certification or active plans to obtain it.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems using steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Calculate loads and structural elements.
• Prepare drawing plans and details using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Conduct site visits to perform surveys and check construction progress.
• Coordinate with architects and project managers.
