About The Position

GE Vernova’s mission is to continue electrifying the world while helping decarbonize it. The Strategic Sourcing Intern supports procurement, supplier engagement, and analytics initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in the energy industry. Working with sourcing professionals, the intern learns how supplier relationships, data, compliance, and operational execution support business priorities. The role provides exposure to sourcing processes, cross-functional collaboration, and tools that support supplier performance, cost productivity, delivery, quality, cash, and continuous improvement. Assignment leaders and team members provide guidance as the intern develops professional skills through practical assignments, team engagement, and learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a freshman, sophomore, or junior.
• Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated academic achievement and interest in developing business, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the internship is based, as required by local law and program guidelines.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to organize information, identify trends, solve analytics problems, and summarize insights.
• Self-starter eager to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership of assigned work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, and willingness to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
• Commitment to integrity, compliance, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing projects related to supplier management, data analysis, process improvement, sustainability, and operational execution.
• Assist with supplier research, spend analysis, purchase order review, savings tracking, and sourcing performance reporting.
• Learn and apply sourcing tools, dashboards, and standard work to support informed business decisions.
• Collaborate as needed with Sourcing, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Legal, and other business partners.
• Prepare presentations, trackers, summaries, and project updates for team meetings and leadership reviews.
• Identify opportunities to simplify work, improve data quality, and strengthen process discipline as part of continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in team meetings, intern learning experiences, development activities, and networking opportunities.
