Strategic Partnerships Manager

Sidelines•Remote, NY
•$80,000 - $100,000•Remote

About The Position

Sidelines Group runs the content, product, and commercial engine behind major US sports media assets. The Strategic Partnerships Manager owns a strategic partnership end to end, leading the relationship, setting its direction, and driving its growth. The role makes day-to-day decisions about how the partnership operates and develops, with support from senior leadership. It is the first senior hire in a US partnerships function that the company is actively building. The position is US-based, with the East Coast preferred and New York/New Jersey ideal. It is remote, with occasional in-person meetings in New York, and involves close daily collaboration with teams based in Israel. Success means growing the partnership's revenue and reach, achieving strong product adoption on the partner's platforms, and building a relationship the partner considers a driver of its business.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or media/publisher operations.
  • Experience owning a significant external partnership.
  • Ability and willingness to lead and make decisions, own a relationship, and set its direction rather than simply execute against it.
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders, both internally and on the partner side.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach, using data to build the case for decisions.
  • Effectiveness working across teams the role does not manage and across the US-Israel time zone difference.
  • Commercial mindset and understanding of how content, product, and affiliate revenue connect.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in US sports, betting, and gaming; knowledge of these areas is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the partnership's performance and growth by identifying opportunities, making the case for them, and driving them through.
  • Serve as the partner's primary point of contact, lead meetings, work with the partner's editorial and product leadership, and set the partnership agenda.
  • Translate partner needs into product priorities, including widgets, deeplinks, and integrations, and drive those priorities with engineering and product teams.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving the company's SEO, engineering, and business teams in Israel and the partner's US teams, making decisions that keep the work moving.
