Coverdash•New York, NY
•$100,000 - $125,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Coverdash is the fastest growing startup and SMB focused-insurtech agency, powered by the industry’s most advanced embedded technology and partnership strategies. Our mission is to help growing businesses purchase and manage business insurance from the places they trust most. Our simple and powerful embedded technology helps partners offer insurance to existing customers with a single line of code. Coverdash was founded by a team with deep fintech and financial services experience and is the first insurance-as-a-service platform. We have raised over $16 million to date from top investors including NYCA (Affirm, Fundbox, Acorns, Gemini), Bling Capital (Lyft, Square, Instacart, Palantir), World Insurance Labs (HubSpot, DocuSign, Twitter), Expansion VC (Postmates, AngelList, Lemonade). Headquartered at our brand new state-of-the-art office in the heart of NYC, Coverdash remains a remote friendly working environment. Our rapidly growing team is a smart, dynamic, and fun-loving group privileged to be collaborating with some of the world’s most innovative embedded partners. Partnerships are Coverdash's entire go-to-market strategy and our revenue engine. The business we insure reaches us through a platform it already trusts: payroll providers, banks, fintechs, vertical SaaS, and corporate formation platforms. With 150+ live partners like NerdWallet, GoDaddy, and Bluevine, our biggest opportunity is making every partner we sign a high-performing, growing distribution channel. We're looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to own that, driving and nurturing our partnerships. You'll take partners from signed contract through launch and into long-term growth. That means building their go-to-market plans, activating their teams, improving performance, and expanding each relationship over time. You'll treat partners like enterprise customers and be the person they rely on to make the partnership work. You'll also work alongside the team on deals before signature, making sure what we sign is built to launch and scale. Based in our NYC office, you'll report to our Head of Partnerships and work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales, as well as with our CEO and partner executives. This is an individual contributor seat with real ownership and meaningful room to grow as the function scales.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in partner management, partner success, account management, consulting, or GTM roles at a fintech, insurtech, SaaS, or high-growth startup.
  • A track record of launching partners and driving measurable adoption, revenue, or performance through indirect or embedded channels.
  • Experience building and running GTM plans with external teams, including enablement, co-marketing, and launch execution.
  • Strength in relationship management, with the ability to build trust at both working and executive levels and manage many stakeholders with different priorities.
  • Comfort working in a product-centric environment, collaborating with product and engineering on integrations and translating between business and technical teams.
  • A data-driven approach. You track funnel metrics, find problems, and use analysis to guide decisions.
  • Operational discipline to manage a large book, run tight processes, and keep every partner moving.
  • Commercial judgment to spot expansion opportunities and negotiate improvements to existing agreements.
  • Motivation to own outcomes in a fast-moving, not always well-defined environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded finance, embedded insurance, or API/platform partnerships.
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance, payroll, SMB banking, or small business software.
  • Experience managing partnerships with large enterprises or financial institutions.
  • Experience building partner programs, playbooks, or CRM workflows at an early-stage company.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of strategic partners, serving as their primary relationship manager and driving activation, performance, and long-term growth.
  • Lead post-signature activation: run kickoffs, coordinate integration scoping with our product and engineering teams, and get partners live on time.
  • Build and execute tailored GTM plans for each partner, including placement in their product, marketing campaigns, customer communications, and launch sequencing.
  • Equip partner sales, support, and customer success teams with the training, resources, and messaging needed to effectively position Coverdash and drive customer adoption.
  • Monitor partner performance, diagnose what's working and what isn't, and run experiments on placement, messaging, and funnel to improve conversion.
  • Run regular business reviews with partners, align with their product and executive teams, and build champions who advocate for Coverdash internally.
  • Grow existing relationships by identifying new products, placements, customer segments, and use cases, and negotiating expansions and amendments when needed.
  • Partner with the team on late-stage deals, contributing to scoping, integration planning, and GTM design during negotiation so every partnership is set up to launch well from day one.
  • Build the playbooks, processes, and reporting that make partner management repeatable and scalable.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation, including base, variable, equity, and benefits.
