About The Position

As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 5 phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between. This program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of EMCO Corporation's operations and prepare individuals for future leadership roles. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in various departments, developing a well-rounded skill set applicable to the wholesale distribution industry.

Requirements

College and/or University degree

Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates

Responsibilities

Learn the products EMCO sells, how they are sourced from vendors, and their journey to the customer.
Understand all levels of sales support within the company.
Get involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, and financial statements.
Assist customers with various product and service issues.
Manage large-scale projects.
Learn to identify new business opportunities.
Develop skills in selling EMCO's products.
Gain experience in negotiating contracts.
Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.
Determine an ideal career path based on training and experience gained.
