About The Position

As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 5 phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between. This program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of EMCO Corporation's operations and to help you determine your ideal career path within the company. You will gain hands-on experience in various departments, developing essential skills for a successful career in wholesale distribution.

Requirements

College and/or University degree
Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
Desire to continuously learn and grow
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities

Learn the products EMCO sells, how they are transported from vendor to customer, and understand all levels of sales support.
Get involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, and financial statements.
Assist customers with various product and service issues and progress to managing large-scale projects.
Learn to identify new business opportunities, sell EMCO products, negotiate contracts, and build strong customer and vendor relationships.
Utilize training to determine your ideal career path within the company.
