About The Position

As a Strategic Account Manager at Acclaro, you will own a named book of existing strategic technology and software customers, deepen relationships, and grow business as the company’s platform offerings come to market. This is a senior, quota-carrying role with full commercial responsibility and high visibility within a small, focused team. The role focuses on selling customer outcomes and expanding beyond services into platform offerings. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, collaborate with the global account team across regions, spend regular time on-site at customer campuses, and engage colleagues in Delivery, Product, and Solutions to support opportunities. The company is changing how it sells, and the position suits someone proactive, consultative, and able to work independently. Acclaro describes itself as a content intelligence solutions company serving global brands through human expertise and technology. It has over two decades of experience and is investing in an AI-native platform. Its global teams operate through a follow-the-sun model.

Requirements

  • Typically 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise sales or account management in the localization or language services industry, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of localization buyers, the competitive landscape, and industry vocabulary.
  • Current or recent experience selling and carrying quota on language technology software, SaaS, or AI-driven translation, beyond services statements of work.
  • Track record of closing multi-year software or platform contracts worth $100,000 or more in annual contract value.
  • Experience owning the full commercial motion, including pipeline, outreach methodology, CRM discipline, and forecasting.
  • Working knowledge of TMS and language technology platforms such as Phrase, Lokalise, Smartling, XTM, and memoQ, and of how AI-driven translation workflows are changing buyer expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with a services-to-platform or services-to-SaaS transition at a previous employer, including associated change management.
  • P&L, go-to-market, or sales leadership background, ideally building a commercial motion rather than inheriting one.
  • Experience structuring multi-year enterprise deals, such as subscription, bundled, or outcome-based commercial models.
  • Experience sourcing or implementing CRM, sales enablement, or lead generation tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or SalesLoft.

Responsibilities

  • Own a named book of strategic technology and software customers across the assigned region.
  • Build multi-threaded relationships across customer product, engineering, marketing, localization, and procurement teams.
  • Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities across business units, product lines, and geographies, independent of renewal cycles.
  • Introduce the company’s platform offerings to accounts as they come to market, alongside existing services.
  • Help customers measure whether their content worked, rather than only whether it was delivered.
  • Develop and execute account plans to move the company from vendor to strategic partner.
  • Forecast accurately and manage the pipeline with discipline in Salesforce.
  • Partner with the global account team across regions and involve Delivery, Product, and Solutions colleagues when needed.
  • Spend regular time on-site at customer campuses.
