About The Position

Planview is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to work remotely in the United States, owning and growing a focused portfolio of its largest and most complex accounts. The role develops durable executive relationships and multi-year account strategies, creates new demand, leads complex enterprise sales and negotiations, and coordinates internal and external teams to deliver customer outcomes and sustained growth for Planview. The Strategic Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor to senior customer decision-makers, connects customer priorities to Planview’s platform and Value Framework, and identifies opportunities beyond existing projects or formal RFPs. The role also maintains account health and forecasts, shares market and customer insights with senior leadership, and mentors the wider sales organization.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of enterprise SaaS sales experience and a demonstrated record of materially growing strategic customer accounts over time.
  • Experience owning a small portfolio of very large, complex accounts, including global organizations, with account depth beyond managing a broad enterprise territory.
  • Executive-level selling skills and a record of building credibility and durable relationships with C-suite decision-makers, particularly CIOs, CFOs, and CTOs.
  • Success developing and executing multi-year account strategies tied to customer priorities and long-term growth.
  • Consultative, value-based selling skills, including positioning solutions around customer outcomes and ROI and applying Planview’s Value Framework.
  • Track record of generating demand and finding whitespace by uncovering new business needs, stakeholders, and opportunities rather than only responding to existing projects or RFPs.
  • Success closing large, transformational deals involving multiple products or a platform solution, and leading high-value contract negotiations and multi-year partnership agreements.
  • Cross-functional leadership, influence, and judgment to align executives, Product, Customer Support, Services, Legal, Finance, and partners around customer outcomes.
  • Ability to assess account health, identify risks and growth opportunities, and produce accurate forecasts.
  • Deep experience with Salesforce.com and modern sales technology.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
