About The Position

Pet Supplies Plus Store Team Members provide exceptional, neighborly service to customers and their pets. The role may include cashiering, stocking, and pet care, and team members may specialize in one or more of these areas. They help customers choose products, provide information about animals and pet care, process purchases, stock merchandise, and care for animals in the store. The position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting of 40–65 pounds and standing for long periods. Team members must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and pass a drug screening where applicable.

Requirements

Knowledge of animals and pet products to provide customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and their pets.
Help customers select pet products and compare food ingredients.
Provide information and guidance about animal care and pet ownership.
Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Explain Preferred Pet Club membership and available offers.
Safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment.
Stock shelves and maintain product availability.
Carry customers’ purchases to their cars.
Care for store pets, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling animals.
Act as backup for coworkers when additional help is needed.
