About The Position

REI Co-op is seeking a Store Sales Specialist to help customers have better outdoor experiences by sharing product knowledge, making recommendations, and engaging with customers. The role supports REI’s customer satisfaction guarantee by facilitating transactions, selling memberships, and promoting REI products and services. It also helps maintain the store’s appearance and organize merchandise on the sales floor. The position is part time and located in Marina Del Rey. The role calls for an authentic, collaborative employee who communicates and builds relationships, welcomes feedback and other viewpoints, and uses business understanding, sound judgment, and innovative thinking to solve problems. The employee combines information from various sources to make recommendations, sets goals and priorities to produce quality work, organizes resources to meet deadlines, keeps others informed about progress, and influences others toward organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions about products, memberships, and special ticket sales.
Maintain visual standards in coordination with store management, merchandising, and sales leads.
Participate in REI Sales & Service Training and promote REI goods and services.
Support store pickup, including receiving and processing products.
Follow REI loss-prevention and safety procedures.
Work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
