About The Position
As a Pro Sales Associate at Behr, you will work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist focused on professional painting contractors and their needs. You will build relationships with local contractors, support the Home Depot Pro Desk, and work independently as well as with Pro Desk staff, Behr outside sales representatives, and Home Depot employees. When contractors come in for paint, you will help identify the right products, mix paint, gather sundry paint tools, and process orders efficiently so customers can return to work. The role aims to provide professional customers with a paint-store experience. Work hours vary according to peak selling times and may include weekends, holidays, and shifts extending until 7 p.m. No previous paint or sales experience is required; Behr provides training. The role requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
Requirements

- Approachable, organized, outgoing, and positive manner.
- Self-starter who is willing to help wherever needed.
- Basic computer skills; ability to enter leads and contacts in customer management software.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- No previous paint or sales experience is required; training is provided.
Nice To Haves
- Prior computer knowledge.
- Ability to speak a second language, particularly languages spoken by professional contractors.
Responsibilities
- Support the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself to contractors.
- Learn about contractors’ businesses and needs, maintain relationships, and follow up about current jobs and future needs.
- Work with Behr outside sales representatives to assist professional customers visiting the store.
- Collaborate with customers to identify appropriate paint products, mix paint, gather needed sundry tools, and help customers complete purchases efficiently.
- Pull and tint orders for pickup.
- Work professionally and helpfully with Home Depot staff to maintain a mutually beneficial working relationship.
- Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce.
