Seasonal Store Sales Associate
About The Position
Deseret Book is hiring a seasonal, part-time Store Sales Associate in Phoenix, Arizona. The associate provides exceptional sales and customer service by selling Deseret Book products and services. The role also assists customers with checkout, finding products, placing orders, product imprinting, and gift-wrapping, and helps maintain store appearance through stocking, unpacking shipments, and merchandise presentation. The position requires a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays other than Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and work through the holiday season.
Requirements
- Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good team skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates.
- Ability to locate and identify products for customers.
- Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift 35–50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to work through the holiday season.

Responsibilities
- Sell Deseret Book products and services while providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping.
- Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation.
