About The Position

Deseret Book is hiring a seasonal, part-time Store Sales Associate at its American Fork, Utah store. The associate sells Deseret Book products and services while providing exceptional customer service. The role includes assisting customers with purchases and orders, operating cash registers, locating products, imprinting items, and gift-wrapping. The associate also helps maintain the store’s appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation. The position requires working a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays other than Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The associate must be able to work through the holiday season. The store is closed Sundays. The starting date is listed as immediately, and the wage is $14.55 per hour. Requirements

Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good team skills.
Self-motivated.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays, except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Ability to work through the holiday season.
Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates.
Ability to locate and identify products for customers.
Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift 35–50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
