About The Position

Deseret Book is seeking a seasonal, part-time Store Sales Associate for its Draper, Utah store. The role sells Deseret Book products and services while providing exceptional customer service. Associates help customers in person and over the phone, operate cash registers, locate products, take orders, imprint items, and gift-wrap purchases. They also help keep the store organized and presentable by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation. The position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays other than Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and availability through the holiday season.

Requirements

Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good team skills.
Self-motivated.
Flexible availability for a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Ability to work through the holiday season.
Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates.
Ability to locate and identify products for customers.
Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift 35–50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
