About The Position

Deseret Book is seeking a seasonal, part-time Store Sales Associate at its Spanish Fork, Utah location. The associate sells Deseret Book products and services while providing exceptional customer service. The role includes assisting customers in person and over the phone, operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping. It also involves stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and helping maintain store appearance, organization, and merchandise presentation. Shifts may include days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays other than Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The associate must be able to work through the holiday season. The starting date is listed as immediately.

Requirements

Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good team skills.
Self-motivated.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays other than Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates.
Ability to locate and identify products for customers.
Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift 35–50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to work through the holiday season.
