Retail Store Manager, Fabletics (The Village at Topanga - Woodland Hills, CA)
About The Position
Fabletics is seeking a passionate, driven Store Manager for its store at Westfield Topanga & The Village in Woodland Hills, California. The Store Manager leads all aspects of sales and operations to create a world-class retail environment and a seamless shopping experience across the company’s website and retail stores. The role works with Store Leaders to recruit, hire, and train associates, and guides the career paths of 10 to 12 associates and leaders while helping the team meet ambitious targets and advance the business. The Store Manager directs daily store activities, fosters customer engagement in and beyond the store, manages operational responsibilities, and partners with cross-functional teams. The position reports to the Regional Director and is performed onsite on a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working as a manager in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with active lifestyle activities such as yoga, cycling/spin, Pilates, weight training, running, and nutrition.
- Ability to interact socially with customers, employees, and business partners inside and outside the store.
- Ability to work with large teams and set personal and professional goals for oneself and others.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including comfort building advanced spreadsheet models.
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and taking initiative when opportunities arise.
- Familiarity with Excel, Outlook, and retail inventory and POS systems.
- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and an ability to bring out the best in others.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work onsite on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to move, talk, hear, reach, grab, and stand for at least two consecutive hours; the role may occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Responsibilities
- Model Fabletics’ culture and values through self-accountability for team members and external contacts.
- Recruit, hire, and train store associates and supervisors to engage customers in meaningful ways.
- Drive customer engagement inside and outside the store through events, promotions, and community projects.
- Direct the daily activities of store supervisors and associates in alignment with company and store goals.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Fulfillment, and other cross-functional teams to respond to needs and requests in a timely and responsible manner.
- Manage operational tasks related to payroll, inventory management, and paperwork to ensure operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain merchandising guidelines that make the store easy to shop and add value to the customer’s purchase journey.
- Encourage feedback from all levels of the organization to support continuous business improvement.
- Guide the career paths of 10 to 12 associates and leaders.
