About The Position

The Store Manager optimizes the operating profit of the store and builds its reputation for excellent customer service. The role grows sales across retail categories and implements best practices across the store’s retail offer. It also recognizes and develops capable employees through ongoing training. The position reports to the District Supervisor and is located in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Responsibilities

Manage and track store sales, net profit, and overall business performance.
Recruit and select employees, and manage Sandwich Artists, Shift Managers, and Assistant Managers.
Ensure new employees are trained and inducted according to Subway training requirements; coach employees, lead by example, and mentor Assistant Managers as needed.
Prepare employee rosters in line with labor budgets and allotted hours.
Conduct employee counseling sessions, investigation meetings, and quarterly appraisals; inform the District Supervisor about escalated employee issues.
Develop and monitor labor budgets and hours; handle invoicing, ordering, and daily banking.
Prepare stock and sales paperwork, employee pay, and timesheets; manage cash variances and wastage.
Ensure compliance with Subway and council guidelines and complete required courses as directed by the District Supervisor.
Manage inventory and stock control, including weekly stocktakes and reports; analyze weekly sales and inventory reports to improve the business.
Maintain store cleanliness and presentation, and create and implement local store marketing plans.
Ensure safety procedures are followed, provide a safe environment for employees and customers, and report accidents according to company process.
Promote high customer service standards, serve customers in sales and inquiries, and handle unresolved or escalated complaints.
Maintain high personal standards in presentation and work habits, and perform other similar duties as required or assigned.
