About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store and, together with one or more Assistant Store Leaders, makes up the store’s leadership team. The team executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops store employees’ skills, and ensures customers receive good service. The Store Leader Trainee role offers training and the opportunity to develop into store leadership. 7-Eleven emphasizes employee training and advancement from within.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to provide customer-service leadership, training, and coaching.
Ability to manage cash handling and fuel transactions and promote a rewards loyalty program.
Demonstrated ability to use P&L information and store reports to affect change.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer-service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use P&L information and store reports to affect change.
Manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by complying with health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
