About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store and works with the Assistant Store Leader or Leaders as the store’s leadership team. The team executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the skills of the store team, and ensures customers are well taken care of. The Store Leader Trainee role is suited to people who enjoy working as part of a management team and have previous supervisory experience. Training and learning the business can provide a path to advancement within the company.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching.
Ability to manage cash handling and fuel transactions.
Demonstrated ability to use profit-and-loss information and store reports.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
Maintain high employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to affect change.
Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures, keeping the store presentable, and ensuring products are in stock.
