About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store and, together with one or more Assistant Store Leaders, forms the store’s leadership team. The team executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the skills of store employees, and ensures customers receive good service. This Store Leader Trainee role offers training and development for candidates with supervisory experience who want to grow into store management. The company is hiring immediately and emphasizes employee training and advancement from within.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee customer service, training, and coaching for store employees.
Ability to manage cash handling and fuel transactions.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
A valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but is not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Oversee customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to affect change.
Manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
