Store Front End Team Member
About The Position
As a Cashier, the Front End Team Member provides fast, friendly customer service and helps ensure customers have a positive store visit. The role includes processing transactions, answering questions, and may also involve working as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. The position reports to the store management team. Team members participate in wine, spirits, and beer training and uphold store safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards. The posting notes that roles explicitly coded as seasonal are short term, lasting no longer than six months, with the option to apply for a non-seasonal role.
Requirements
- Passion for excellent customer service and a team-player mindset.
- One to three years of work experience.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and remain on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
- Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
- Ability to climb ladders and repeatedly lift 50 pounds overhead.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a retail setting.
Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying identification, handling payments, answering inquiries, promoting the loyalty program, and bagging products.
- Provide exceptional, personalized service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
- Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
- Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
- Follow applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and help maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
- Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other assigned duties.
