About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Deli Manager. The role assists the store manager with supervisory decisions and deli operations, while supporting sales, cost control, inventory accuracy, food quality, sanitation, and safety. The manager helps train and develop employees, oversees daily tasks, maintains deli merchandise and equipment, and handles vendor deliveries. The position pays $17.75 per hour plus a monthly bonus.

Requirements

• Must complete and pass ServSafe certification; certification may be waived by the Deli Operations Manager.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager with supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up regarding controllable expenses, sales expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
• Set an exemplary example of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and convenience store operations.
• Conduct new employee orientation and training; promote continued employee development and document performance and conduct evaluations objectively.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on tasks.
• Maintain accurate inventories; order and maintain deli merchandise; and achieve favorable deli metrics.
• Perform deli-area maintenance, including basic preventative maintenance and repairs of deli equipment.
• Follow sanitation procedures and maintain high food-preparation quality standards; prepare deli items and cook heated items as required.
• Promote kitchen and store safety.
• Check in deli vendors, cross-check orders, and verify items by line number; put away received orders and watch for miss-picks, incorrect pack sizes, and broken or open merchandise.
• Maintain PLUs and print lists for tills.
• Keep products rotated and fresh, check expiration dates, and remove and discard unauthorized products.
• Complete and pass ServSafe certification unless waived by the Deli Operations Manager.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
