Full-Time Store Counter Sales Rep
About The Position
Auto Value is hiring a Store Counter Sales Representative to help retail and commercial customers identify automotive parts and find solutions for their vehicle and business needs. The role focuses on delivering helpful customer service, supporting sales and counter operations, assisting with paint and parts services, and keeping the store organized and safe. The position offers hands-on opportunities to build automotive product knowledge through work, training, and collaboration with teammates. Automotive parts experience is preferred, but applicants who are eager to learn and enjoy helping people are encouraged to apply. Requirements
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately process transactions and identify parts.
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to learn, follow established procedures, and contribute to a team.
- A dependable, positive attitude and interest in helping customers.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive parts knowledge or experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and paper or digital parts catalogs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Use parts catalogs and lookup systems to identify products and provide recommendations.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to retail and commercial customers and build customer relationships.
- Recommend related products, share current promotions, and identify additional customer needs.
- Accurately process sales and returns, answer phone inquiries, and assist with customer pickups and commercial delivery coordination.
- Assist with paint mixing and non-application parts requests as needed.
- Receive and organize freight, label and stock inventory, assist with deliveries, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Build automotive product knowledge through hands-on experience, training, and collaboration with teammates.
