Full-Time Store Counter Sales Rep
About The Position
Auto Value is hiring a Store Counter Sales Representative to help retail and commercial customers identify automotive parts and find solutions for their needs. The role involves using parts catalogs and lookup systems, providing customer service and product recommendations, supporting sales and counter operations, and helping maintain store inventory and a clean, safe environment. Candidates with automotive parts experience are welcome, while those new to the field may learn through hands-on experience, training, and collaboration with teammates. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately process transactions and identify parts.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to learn, follow established procedures, and contribute to a team.
- Dependable, positive attitude and interest in helping customers.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive parts knowledge or experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and paper or digital parts catalogs.
Responsibilities
- Use parts catalogs and lookup systems to identify products and provide recommendations.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to retail and commercial customers and build customer relationships.
- Recommend related products, share promotions, and identify additional customer needs.
- Process sales and returns accurately, answer phone inquiries, and assist with customer pickups and commercial delivery coordination.
- Assist with paint mixing and non-application parts requests as needed.
- Receive and organize freight, label and stock inventory, assist with deliveries, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Develop automotive product knowledge through hands-on experience, training, and teamwork.
