About The Position

CHS Inc. is seeking a full-time Store Clerk for its Cenex Zip Trip convenience store, store 52, in Billings, Montana. The Store Clerk helps customers have a positive and efficient shopping experience by providing courteous service, handling sales, organizing and replenishing merchandise, and supporting store operations. The role generally works 40 hours over five days per week, with work schedule flexibility. Candidates must meet the minimum age requirement and have knowledge of retail or retail merchandising and customer service.

Requirements

Knowledge of retail and/or retail merchandising and customer service.
Must meet the minimum age requirement.
Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with customers and coworkers.
Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment, including cash registers and time- and record-keeping computer systems.
Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers promptly and courteously and assisting them with merchandise or checkout.
Perform cashier responsibilities, including accepting payments and issuing receipts.
Display and organize products so customers can locate them easily.
Maintain store appearance through dusting, cleaning, and restocking shelves.
Assist with ordering merchandise and tracking inventory.
Monitor customers to help prevent loss.
Assist with preparing displays and promotions.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture; follow safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures, and regulations; identify and communicate hazards and correct or seek help correcting unsafe conditions or actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
