About The Position

CHS Inc. is hiring a part-time Store Clerk for its Cenex® Zip Trip convenience store, store 48, in Havre, Montana. The Store Clerk helps ensure customers have a positive and efficient experience by providing courteous service, assisting with purchases, maintaining merchandise and store presentation, and supporting inventory, promotions, and loss prevention. The role generally works 24 hours per week, with work schedule flexibility.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail and/or retail merchandising and customer service.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with customers and coworkers.
• Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment, including cash registers and time- and record-keeping computer systems.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet customers promptly and courteously, and assist customers browsing inventory or checking out.
• Perform cashier duties, including accepting payments and issuing receipts.
• Display and organize products so customers can locate them easily.
• Maintain the store’s appearance by dusting, cleaning, and restocking merchandise.
• Order merchandise and track inventory as assigned.
• Monitor customers to assist with loss prevention.
• Assist with preparing displays and promotions.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture; follow safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures, and regulations; identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek help correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
