About The Position
We are seeking a friendly, service-oriented Store Clerk to assist customers with their shopping needs and help ensure an excellent shopping experience. Duties may include operating the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate has customer service experience and knowledge of cash register operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Understanding of sales techniques and customer service best practices.
- Willingness to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to operate a register quickly and accurately.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Knowledge of cash register operation.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them while they shop.
- Follow safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Operate the register and complete customer sales.
- Collect payments by cash and credit card.
- Issue receipts and refunds to customers.
- Take responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
- Support sales by participating in company-directed product promotions and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge to help customers make selections.
