Store Clerk - Part Time
About The Position
The Store Clerk assists customers in selecting and purchasing items. The position stocks, arranges, and displays furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes, and similar products; rotates or rearranges stock as needed; and returns items to their proper locations. The clerk performs routine security activities by observing customers while they shop. The role may also involve moving donations to storage and preparing and providing donation receipts. Cleaning duties include cleaning display racks, shelves, windows, mirrors, and storage areas; sweeping and mopping floors; and cleaning other areas as needed. The clerk answers the store telephone tactfully and courteously.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Retail store experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
