About The Position

This entry-level clerk position makes essential gospel teachings, resources, and services accessible to God’s children. The role fosters an environment of reverence and respect, helps customers make informed product decisions, and provides exceptional customer service. The incumbent must be endowed and hold a current recommend. This is a part-time position of 12 hours per week in a retail environment.

Requirements

Must be endowed and hold a current temple recommend.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to complete internal customer service training within one month of hire.
Basic math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills.
Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others.
Ability to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to work as scheduled and needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, which may include standing for long periods, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and ascertain their needs.
Provide high-quality customer service and product knowledge to assist customers.
Develop an understanding of the contents and properties of products to serve customers adequately.
Answer customer questions about curriculum, proper clothing fit, and issues of similar complexity.
May provide personal fitting consultations to patrons at the distribution store.
Prepare merchandise for purchase.
Operate the point-of-sale terminal, finalize sales, and process returns.
May assist the store supervisor with attractive displays, presentation, and maintaining adequate shelf inventory.
May assist the store supervisor with inventory and cycle counts.
May perform housekeeping duties to maintain the facility, equipment, and storage areas.
Work as scheduled and needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Assist with other operational responsibilities as needed.
