About The Position

The Store Cleaning role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The work includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The role also maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout areas including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.

The associate follows company operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention policies and standards. They are cross-trained to support multiple store areas and Front End coverage needs, contribute to store recovery, and communicate effectively with management and colleagues. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
• Able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
