About The Position

The Store Cashier provides excellent customer service while operating a cash register. The role involves processing sales, greeting and assisting customers and donors, and helping maintain the register area and sales floor. The position is full-time at the West Sanford location in Sanford, Florida, with an hourly salary range of $18.00 to $18.00. No travel is expected.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and professionally.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service.
• Direct customers to the proper area and provide general information as requested.
• Ring up and complete sales transactions using the cash register.
• Provide customers with the correct change and receipt.
• Follow policies and procedures for cash, check, and charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and the change Round Up program.
• Keep the register area clean and orderly.
• Answer telephone calls promptly using established etiquette procedures.
• Assist sales floor employees with stocking and recovery.
