About The Position

The Store Cashier is a key member of the store team at TravelCenters of America, responsible for providing excellent customer service and helping ensure travelers return to the road better than they came. The travel center offers a one-stop shopping experience with name-brand products, Grab ‘N Go foods, groceries, snacks, electronics, maintenance supplies, clothing, and gifts. The role involves serving customers, processing sales, and maintaining clean and stocked areas of the store. The position may also include other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Cash handling skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process customer transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) register.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
• Clean and stock merchandise.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
