About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time cashiers and stockers. Cashiers provide friendly, efficient checkout service, while stockers keep shelves stocked and organized to support a positive shopping experience. Both roles help maintain smooth store operations and deliver excellent customer service. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $18.00 per hour. Wage increases are listed as $18.50 in Year 2, $19.00 in Year 3, $19.00 in Year 4, and $20.00 in Year 5. Employees must be able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Stockers must be able to arrive as early as 5:00 a.m. The role involves physical activity, handling products weighing up to 45 pounds, working in freezer and cooler environments, and operating store equipment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks productively within established timeframes.
Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Ability to meet availability requirements.
Ability to perform required physical activities, including pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and moving between areas.
Ability to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00 a.m.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Model and fulfill customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Comply with established company policies and processes.
Help provide a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order.
Maintain store zone and merchandising standards.
Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale (POS) system to scan and process customer purchases accurately and report scanning concerns or errors to store management.
Follow cash policies and procedures.
Follow the line policy and open additional checkout lanes as needed.
Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying order contents, and delivering orders to customers' vehicles from the staging area in a timely manner.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
